TP Bookkeeping is a boutique full-service bookkeeping firm that gets restaurants. Our clients are award-winning hospitality brands and restaurateurs throughout the Northeast. You will be joining a small but mighty team of awesome bookkeepers.
Our newest Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing our clients’ day-to-day and monthly financial operations.
What will you be responsible for?
General ledger – you understand journal entries inside and out (including but not limited to payroll journals from various platforms, A/P, A/R) and can reconcile balance sheet accounts with ease.
Full cycle accounts payable – you understand how to enter invoices, pay bills and communicate effectively with vendors.
Bank and credit card reconciliations - update bank feeds, matching various journal entries, bill payments, and expenses and identifying errors.
Month-end close - you close the books like a boss and understand accrual basis accounting.
This role is for you if:
You have a minimum of 5 years+ of hands-on end-to-end accounting experience. Ideal candidates will also have 2 years of working in a restaurant/hospitality setting.
You have a proven ability to manage multiple projects and requests. You will be working with many different clients and communicating with them frequently.
You know Quickbooks (Online & Desktop) inside and out - must have working knowledge of Quickbooks products and be proficient.
You should love numbers but also under what they mean to each other. You understand how to read a Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
You are tech-savvy and always looking for ways to automate and improve. You need to know your way around Google Drive, Excel, Bill.com, Zoom and various Point of Sales systems.
You have excellent attention to detail. You are thorough and accurate when reading and interpreting information. You must be able to effectively communicate with outside clients and vendors.
Above all, you must have a high level of integrity and always maintain confidentiality. We are trusted resources for our clients.
This position is hybrid, and we'd love to see you in person sometimes. As such, the ideal candidate is based locally and can easily travel to our headquarters in Barnstable, MA on as needed basis. You should also have proven experience working remotely.
Please note: This is a part-time position and you must be available during standard business hours (Eastern Time). Dates are flexible and can be discussed.
Compensation:
This position has a part-time hourly range of $35-$45/hour. The actual pay may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience & time in the role.
Remote work stipend for tech and/or co-working memberships
Flexible, work from home schedule most of the time.
